Roy
Nichols
(the
Guitarman)
"King
of Country Guitar
"The
Best Friend a guitar ever had

"

- Roy defined country music guitar
with his unique and personal style. He was Merle Haggards
guitarist fo 25 years and as Hag said himself Roy was his
idol. Roy not only played for Haggard he has also back
such greats as Willie Nelson, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash,
Lefty Frizzel, Hank Williams Sr., The Maddox Brothers and
Rose, Wynn Stewart and countless other television, radio
and studio projects. Roy is the most humble and honest
person I have ever met. After suffering a stroke in 1996
that left him paralyzed on his left side this guitar
great was forced into retirement a blow to him and his
many fans the world over.
